Transient is a gripping sci-fi horror feature written and directed by Chris Ruppert. Loosely inspired by his 2019 short film Memory Leak, the film expands its haunting premise into a tense, emotionally charged exploration of memory, mortality, and the shadows we carry with us.
Filmed on location in Harrisburg and Philadelphia, Transient is deliberately layered with misdirection, keeping audiences unsettled as it unfolds. Beneath its atmospheric suspense lies a deeply human story—one rooted in loss, grief, and the fragile ways we attempt to cope with death. It’s a chilling meditation on how we live alongside the ghosts of our past.
Since its release, Transient has garnered numerous awards on the festival circuit, earning recognition for its direction, performances, and haunting storytelling—cementing its place as a standout in independent sci-fi horror.
